Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to register?

Our fees for the Spring 2024 season were:

T-Ball, ages 4-6: $100

Rookies, ages 6-8: $130

Minors, ages 8-10: $150

Majors, ages 10-12: $160

** Age, for the purpose of selecting a division to register, means your child's age as of May 1, 2024. Example: Little Mickey is 6 years old now when I'm registering him, but he will be 7 before May 1st. He will need to register for the Rookies division since he will age out of T-Ball before the end of the season.

Once I register, what should I expect next?

Those registered for Minors and Majors divisions will need to attend Player Evaluations (tryouts), typically held within one of the first two weekends of February. All players will be evaluated by coaches and drafted to a team that day. Evaluation times will be announced closer to the event date.

Those registered for T-Ball and Rookies divisions will be assigned to a team by the Executive Board.

All players will receive outreach from their coach by mid-February to discuss details such as pant/belt/sock color for uniform, and practice schedule and location.

When does the season start?

Opening Weekend 2024 is scheduled for March 9-10th. Game schedule for the season, including opening weekend, will be available no later than the weekend of March 1st.

When are games and practices?

Practice schedules and locations are determined by the coaches and will be communicated when your coach connects with you. In general, anticipate at least one practice per week.

Game schedules are created once all teams have been formed and are dependent on the number of teams per division. In general, anticipate up to one weeknight and one weekend game per week. Games are scheduled on weeknights Monday through Thursday with 6pm start times and on Saturdays with start times varying between 8am and 3:30pm. All games are held at Central Elementary School. The season game schedule will be available no later than March 1st and is subject to change depending on a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) weather or field conditions. Reschedules are dependent on field availability and conditions throughout the season and may not be possible, resulting in a cancellation instead.

I made a mistake / I changed my mind / My kiddo changed their mind. How can I request a refund?

Life happens! Refunds can be requested by emailing us at CentralCalRipken@outlook.com. Please provide your player's name and date of birth to assist us with locating their profile and registration. Refunds are issued to the original form of payment, and can take up to 7-10 business days to appear back in your account once we process your request.

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds are not permitted once teams are formed, which occurs the weekend of player evaluations for Minor/Major divisions (Rookie and T-Ball division rosters are completed this weekend as well). Once rosters are finalized, uniforms are ordered and insurance for the season is paid for - read: your registration fees have been paid to other vendors and are no longer available to return. If you selected the supplemental insurance option during the checkout process when registering, you'll need to contact the insurance provider to request a refund claim.
